- 1 Cup flour
- 2 tbsps. sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 4 tbsps. butter
- 3 tbsps. milk chocolate chips
- 2 tbsps. semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup walnuts
- 3 ounces chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 tbsps. light corn syrup
- Red food coloring
- Multi colored sprinkles
Heat waffle iron while making waffle batter.
Combine the first six dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Melt butter and whisk together with egg, vanilla, and milk. Add wet ingredients into the dry and mix until combined.
Carefully fold in the walnuts and the milk chocolate and semisweet chocolate chips. Spray waffle iron with cooking spray and add 1/2 cup of batter to the center of the waffle iron. Cook for approximately 4 to 6 minutes or until cooked through.
To make the Ganache topping, add whipping cream and corn syrup to a pan and simmer carefully over medium heat. Add the last 3 ounces of chocolate chips and fold carefully with a rubber spatula. Add approximately 8 drops of red food coloring to get a deep red color.
To assemble waffles, place them on a place, top with whip cream, ganache and sprinkles.
